Sewer Scope Inspection
Inspecting sewer laterals
When you buy home in a city like Indianapolis, your sewage most likely runs through a drain pipe buried under the front yard and connects to the public sewer at the street. Underground structures like sewer pipes are not included in a regular home inspection, but you may wish to add it. Of course, you could skip it, move in, and then find out if there is a problem- but if you find it before closing, you may be able to get the seller to pay for repairs- and this can be a pretty expensive repair!

Underground sewer camera
A sewer scope inspection is performed when we snake a camera down the drain line from inside the house, and feed it all the way to the connection with the sewer main at the street- assuming of course, it is not blocked. Changes over the years in sewer line materials has made drain lines more reliable, but even modern plastic pipe can be damaged from exterior forces. The older the home, the more likely it is that there is a problem in the sewer line. We can inspect your sewer drain separately, or along with a full home inspection.
